nurturing environment that promotes the
physical, social, emotional and cognitive
development of children from 6 weeks to school
age.
Our Program
Philosophy
Bedford Child Development
Center is a developmentally based childcare
center. We believe that all children and
their families should have available to them, a
program that provides a high quality,
developmentally appropriate childcare program.
We are also a play-based
center. We believe that children's play is
a primary vehicle for their mental growth.
Play enables children to progress along a
developments sequence of growth.
Therefore, child-initiated, child-directed,
teacher-supported play is an essential component
of our developmentally appropriate program.
In order to meet the needs of
the developing child and provide quality care,
the staff at Bedford Child Development Center
