From Trinity
Lutheran Church's
own website:
Welcome to all!
We are privileged to
have you in worship. Trinity Lutheran teaches and
confesses that although all people are imperfect,
the Heavenly Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to
live the perfect life for us, die on the cross in
payment for our sins, and rise from the grave to
open the door of eternal life. The Bible clearly
teaches that those who live and believe in Jesus
Christ have the promise of everlasting life in
heaven.
Trinity Lutheran Church
offers two types of Worship Service,
Traditional and Contemporary.
Traditional
worship follows the
Lutheran worship hymnal, even though the service is
printed out on a sheet of paper in the bulletin.
Hymns are sung out of the hymnal to organ music.
These are classics in worship and tie us to
Christians who have worship for centuries with the
same songs. The liturgy comes primarily from "the
psalms" and becomes much of the form we use to
praise our God. This style is very comfortable for
people who have grown up with Lutheran background.
Contemporary
worship incorporates the
same format, yet this service is held in the
gymnasium. The word of the songs are flashed on a
screen as the songs are led by our worship team. The
same Scripture readings are used and the same
message from our other services. It is a little more
relaxed atmosphere ,with people dressing casual.
People not coming from a Lutheran background find
this service a little more comfortable.
